Objectives and Vision
Objective: The primary objective of the National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation, and Capacity Development Centre (NWSSRICDC) is to conduct research and innovation in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector while enhancing the capacity of relevant agencies and stakeholders. The Centre aims to ensure sustainable service delivery by organizing quality training, workshops, and capacity development activities. It seeks to contribute to strengthening the skills and knowledge of federal, provincial, and local government bodies, non-governmental organizations, communities, and experts, thereby promoting sustainable and inclusive WASH services.
Vision: The Centre envisions delivering safe, sustainable, and accessible water and sanitation services to all citizens through research and capacity-building activities for stakeholders in the WASH sector. Established as a national knowledge hub for water, sanitation, and hygiene, the Centre aspires to advance public health and improve living standards through research and development of new technologies and the development of skilled human resources.
